Climate-KIC is one of three Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) created in 2010 by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). The EIT is an EU body whose mission is to create sustainable growth and Climate-KIC supports this mission by addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Climate-KIC Nordic includes three industrial partners, each world-class within their branch, eight top-performing universities, seven municipalities, one regional council and two SMEs.

Kirsten Dyhr-Mikkelsen, Local READY Coordinator, gave a presentation of the innovative aspects of the READY projects and discussed the lessons learned working with innovative approaches and technologies within an EU FP7 supported public-private-partnership lasting 5+ years.
